Alice Tarnay (nee Florian) age 94 died Friday May 13, 2016.
Alice was the beloved wife for 66 years of the late Denes; dear daughter of the late Bela and Antonia Florian; loving mother of Dennis (Ibolya) Tarnay and Peter (Elizabeth) Tarnay; grandmother of Eva, Nicholas, Jonathan, James and Maria Tarnay; great-grandmother of Mikayla; sister-in-law of Martha Szabo.
Prior to WWII, Alice Florian was a renowned tennis player in Europe. She advanced to the 1939 French Open in the women’s doubles final.
