We are devastated. Jeff was so kind & loved his family dearly. He was so proud of Max & Grace & his love for them & Cheryl was obvious. He was a “gentle-man” & a gentle giant. We will never forget him. Our prayer is that God gives you the strength to face each day, knowing & feeling Jeff by your side.

Jeff was so exceptionally talented, humble, and kind – any age is too young to lose a man like this. I am blessed to have known Jeff for the time that I did. My condolences to the entire family, and I pray that God’s grace and mercy assuage your sorrow in this time of need.

Classmates at a young age, remembering cheerleading during tough RRHS games while Jeff was on the basketball court, to catching up at class reunions, knowing what a successful doctor and family man Jeff became, no doubt, all around nice man. Just remembering how he was a jokester and stole a kiss at the year end winter sports banquet when I was passing out awards to bring the room to a roar! ‘What a character’, lol, a memory, I will cherish! A gentle man gone too soon, so very sad, a person who will be missed by many. (I just lost another male friend age 52 suddenly on 4.28.19, loss is so tragic). Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with the entire Kovesdy family to cherish all the wonderful memories of days spent with Jeff and may God fill your hearts with joy, grace and peace to see this journey through and renew your strength each day. Be blessed.

Dear Family and Loved ones of Jeff, I wish there was something we all could do or so say to ease your pain. I have known Jeff since kindergarten and he was such a wonderful guy. May you somehow find peace and comfort knowing how much he was loved and knowing how much we all care. I am truly sorry for your loss.

Jeff’s smile, and content and welcoming temperament drew in everyone. I will remember him for this.

My deepest empathy for the family of Dr. Kovesdy. I was assigned my first pair of glasses at age 9 and no eye doctor in the last 40 years had ever treated me with such candor and interest in who I am and my work as Dr. Kovesdy when I first started seeing him about 7 years ago. He was the one who introduced me to 30 day contact lenses, which revolutionized my life, allowing me to see upon waking and to almost never wear physical glasses on my face. He and I always discussed the movie business and my current art projects and, only this year, did I find out more Kovesdy family history related to Lorain Ave. and W. 41st St in Ohio City, the neighborhood I have lived in since 2002.
May his legacy of care be the measurement standard for eye care professionals everywhere, as he was truly a special man.
