Lizzie Rosey Picklesimer (nee Hatfield) age 83 entered into Eternal Rest on January 23, 2015 at Salida Woods Assisted Living surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife to the late Charles Picklesimer; dear mother of Janet (Rex) Taylor and Andrea (Dan Roske) Picklesimer ; loving grandmother of James (Charleen) Taylor and CharLee (Tony ) Sposit; great-grandmother of Caitlyn, Jamie, Kiera, Liam and Quinn Taylor.
Lizzie was born in Beechcreek, WV to Ance and Nancy Jane Hatfield on January 26, 1931. Her family consisted of 19 siblings, two still living. Lydia May Fekete of Cleveland and Pete (Donna) Hatfield of Kansas. Lizzie had many nieces and nephews. Lizzie retired from the Cleveland Board of Education as a kitchen manager of 30 years. She worked for both Orchard and Clark Elementary Schools. Lizzie also retired at her summer job the Dari-Delite of 33 years. Lizzie’s life joys were her family, friends, cooking, baking and was an avid crocheter. She loved country music and loved watching the Country Music Awards and saw many upcoming country music groups in Cleveland and also traveled to Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry. Lizzie made friends throughout her life which all adored her. She will be dearly missed by all.
The Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, January 28, 2015 AT BODNAR-MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 3929 LORAIN AVE. CLEVELAND where the family will receive friends Tuesday 2-4 & 6-8PM. Interment Riverside Cemetery.
